Code of commodity

Codes are assigned to all commodities circulating in worldwide trade. It facilitates statistics, fiscal and non-tariff regulatory policies. Those digit codes are based on the internationally acknowledged Harmonised System and therefore ought to equal all over the world.
So, a code impacts following matters:
1.     Size of duty (import or export).
2.     Size of excise for goods which are eligible to it.
3.     Non-tariff regulations (licenses, quotas etc).
4.     Amount of procedures of state controlling bodies – phytosanitary, sanitary-and-epidemiological, veterinary and so forth.
Taking into account that Ukrainian classification of commodities of foreign-economic activity (UCC FEA) as well as its international counterpart consists of 21 chapters and 97 groups, each divided into large quantity of subgroups, to choose a correct code is not an easy task. 1)    Technical description of goods (blueprints, instructions, manuals, safety data sheets, catalogues – whatever is at your disposal). We can also translate all of these documents into Russian or Ukrainian for the officials.
2)    Invoice or proforma.
3)    CMR, bill of lading, railroad transport documents (any of these).
4)    Photographs of a commodity (if present).
Only CAS or EINECS-number for a chemical substance needed.
